Chico
Coverage Concept
Blue lines arrive every 30 minutes
Green lines arrive every 60 minutes
Tan lines arrive every 120 minutes
Tan lines with open shields are routes with limited or peak-only service
The Coverage Concept looks similar to existing service, as the current network is coverage-focused, but introduces route changes that extend service to newer developed areas and requested destinations. However, it is not possible to increase span or frequencies so service is spread thinly.

Change in Access
Where can you be soon? Answering that question tells us a great deal about how useful a transit system is. The images below compare how far you can get from Western Heights in 45 minutes in the Coverage and Ridership Concepts.

The Coverage Concept increases access by expanding beyond the gray area (where you can reach today) and allowing people to reach the blue area (newly accessible areas), which would increase jobs reachable by +1%.
The Ridership Concept increases access by expanding beyond the gray area (where you can reach today) and allowing people to reach the red area (newly accessible areas), which would increase jobs reachable by +56%.
